About Backyard Baseball

Beginning in 1997, the Backyard Baseball series has been a successful children's video game franchise developed by Humongous Entertainment and published by Atari. Within the game, the user is able to choose between a lineup of 30 kids within the neighborhood or "Pro players as kids," with well-known athletes depicted as children. The game offers modes such as Single Game, Season Game, Batting Practice, and Spectator, with a league structure mirroring major league baseball, culminating in the "Backyard Baseball World Series."

How to Play

  • Assemble your team from a roster of neighborhood kids.
  • Unlock child versions of famous professional players.
  • Choose from different game modes: Single Game, Season Game, Batting Practice, and Spectator.
  • Manage your team through a season.
  • Engage in exhibition games or league play to experience the full range of gameplay options.
