In 2v2.io, the game begins with you and your partner spawning in your preferred area of the map. As soon as the game begins, positioning becomes significant as other pairs are simultaneously doing the same in other areas. You harvest resources such as wood and metal from the environment. These resources assist in the building of walls, ramps, and roofs.
The game of combat is at the center, however, and winning a game of combat is more than just accuracy in marksmanship. One also has to worry about defense, for example, as well as building structures while in combat, then modifying those structures, perhaps, in reaction to an enemy's attack. The smaller safe circle that forms as a match progresses also brings a sense of tension into play.
